Many of our Magnet®-designated nurses began their career paths as a patient care technician. In this role, you’ll pay an integral role in the delivery of care for our hospital-based patients. You can gain experience in a variety of clinical settings and departments, gain knowledge from nurse mentors, enhance your clinical skills and receive support and resources you need to progress in your career.

Patient care tech experience and training requirements:

  • High school diploma, but college or experience in patient services or phlebotomy is preferred.
  • Desire to learn and grow with hands-on training.
  • Demonstrate a caring demeanor.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
